West Richland Yards: What We See
West Richland lots tend to be larger than in the other Tri-Cities, which matters for pricing: yards over ¼ acre add $10 per service day.
The city takes dog waste seriously in public spaces too. West Richland Animal Control has asked owners to clean up in parks, especially in spring when snow melts and kids are back on the fields, with fines of $75 and $150 for repeat offenses (KEPR).
Bigger Yards, More Ground to Cover
On a larger West Richland lot, dogs spread out. Waste ends up along back fences, under trees and in gravel and rock beds where it's easy to miss from the patio. Weekly service walks the whole yard so nothing gets left behind.
